We want to have everything and for free , without obstacles, quickly ... actually NOW, because most of the time we only see the success of others, but not the rocky road they have taken to reach the goal. The faster you lose weight, the more likely will others notice and you will get positive feedback. On the contrary, if you slowly lose weight, the eye gets used to the change and it seems like you are not making any progress at all . But does faster mean better?
Enjoy the way!
Have you ever wondered, why there are so many crash diets? One follows another, but they all have one thing in common: they are inconsistent. Most of the time, it fails because you cannot combine it with everyday life and then fall back into old habits. A change in diet is permanent in the long run: sport in a healthy amount, no torturing hours on the thread mill, but swinging your hips to your favorite songs every day, no big calorie deficits or monotonous dishes such as cabbage soup diet. Balance is key! Sure, it takes longer, but when you see it like that, you spend the most time to your goal on the journey, the destination itself is only a blink of an eye on the route. That's why you should have fun on the way there! This applies not only to losing weight, but also to work or health related goals. Forcing a quick success results in burnout or in terms of health, an increase in symptoms.
What is your WHY?
Many argue that they don't have time to cook freshly or exercise every day. You don't have time to meditate for 10 minutes in the morning and then give up straight away! Nothing is perfect! The key to the goal is CONSISTENCY! If you can’t do your task daily make sure to keep on going afterwards. The year has 365 days, do you really think these couple of days will keep you from your dreams? Losing weight is not difficult, you just have to be disciplined and yet many fail because of their: WHY? The most successful people come from the bottom . It was a hard, long road, but they all have one thing in common! Their WHY is strong because they know what it's like living in poverty. So what's your WHY?
I used to think I had to keep up with the other cyclists. When someone who was older passed me, I was sad and tried to keep up with the speed. Only recently have I noticed that something has changed in me due to my illness. When someone overtakes me, I don't punish myself, I don't push my body to its limit. I don't know how long the other cyclist has been riding: 10 min, 20 min, 30 min? . It doesn't matter, because when I end up in a situation like this and I still find myself returning to old thinking patterns, I look back and try to remember my time lying on IU: my muscles were too weak to support me , I couldn't speak 2 words without gasping for breath and now look at me! I'M CYCLING. I breathe in the fresh air and I am driven by one feeling: neither is it sadness or insecurity but happiness, endorpines ruhing through my body .... Gratittude: thankful for life, for being able to be strong, for this moment and I don't care when I will arrive at the destination, but one thingI know for sure: This moment will come.
